We're Home!

We're home, safe and sound. We're still sick, but we're home. I was able to squeeze in to the doctor this afternoon and they're fitting DH in before he goes to work tomorrow so hopefully we'll be on the upswing soon.

No contracts yet. Things got stalled a bit on the agency's end but I was told they went in the mail this morning.

I'm too pooped to do an update. Jet lag, to-do lists, illness and husband's snoring kept me up until 9:00 this morning. I slept a few hours and then did the grocery shopping and that was about all I could muster. Fortunately, our host was a doll and insisted that we do our laundry before we leave her house (government's paying, why not!?) so all I have to do is unpack things.

But in the mean time, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. I have a lot of scenic ones but I haven't had time to sort through them yet.

Aloha!

  1. great photos! and, i read your "ivf" post. well explained for your decision making. I think that many people who we are friends with probably thought that if they were in our shoes they would not do IVF...b/c I think that most Christians aren't "for" it. We felt all open doors and total peace with 1 round and had great success (only 2 embryos TOTAL...no pre-transfer "deaths"...just 2 eggs fertilized) and have a healthy 16 mo old daughter. BUT, we do not feel peaceful at all about another round for more children. I know it is a personal decision and we see it both ways...but we are so glad that God answered our prayers about # of eggs & embryos...we were truly blessed thru our IVF experience unlike I've ever heard.

  3. Beautiful pictures! I know you've probably been asked this on here before, but what kind of camera do you have? I know you could probably take great photos with a disposable, since you are obviously very talented, but I am just curious because I'm in the market for a good camera (well, technically, I'm asking for it for Christmas!). My mediums are video and painting, so photography has always been just outside of my skill set, yet very closely related. But I'm hoping to get better :)

I really hope you feel better soon!
