We actually didn't fall off the face of the planet

Much as my absence might lead you to believe, no, we actually did not fall off the face of the planet, nor were we raptured ;) . Little dude is just busy keeping me on my toes.

We've had some fun celebrations in the last couple of weeks.

We got a new family photo taken:

Our first Mother's Day together:

which was also baby's first road trip and overnighter, down to grandma's house. We won't be doing that again for a while. I made the mistake of trying to do it 4 days after we'd finally established a routine for him. It just made us all miserable and sleepless. So we'll wait til he's older and sleeping better to try it again. But it was nice to spend the day with my mom.

We celebrated one year since baby Matthew came out of the freezer and was transferred to me (May 17). Remember what he looked like then?

Today marks one year since we saw THIS beautiful sight:

And this weekend, Matthew turned 4 months old! He wouldn't smile for anything, but here he is. All serious. Like he often is.

He's a busy bee these days. He loves to spend time in his exersaucer and play with his toys. He loves to stand up (with help, of course).

He loves to chew on his fists. He just discovered his feet, too, and loves to lie on his back and hold them up over his head.

Two weeks ago, he learned to consistently flip from his back to his tummy.

On Sunday, he learned to roll from his tummy to his back.

On Monday morning, I put him on his blanket and went to the kitchen for less than two minutes, and when I came back, he'd learn to do this! My life will never be the same!

Having lunch with a friend, so gotta scoot! Hope y'all are well!
